The compact electric SUV’s that are surprisingly spacious.
The Audi Q4 e-tron is an attractive entry point into the world of e-mobility, as Audi’s first electric compact SUV. A high front, powerful body and expressive rear come together to create an unmistakable design. The Q4 Sportback e-tron is further enhanced with a dynamic roofline and spoiler. For both models eight colours and three exterior trims will be available as well as optional matrix LED headlights.
Power Options and Charging
The Q4 e-tron comes with a choice of two batteries and powertrains, the 35 e-tron with a compact 52kWh1 battery producing 170PS and a range of up to 208 miles2 – or the 40 e-tron, with a large 77kWh1 battery delivering 204PS and a range of up to 316 miles2. Later this year the even more powerful Q4 e-tron Quattro will be released, with more information about both this and the Q4 Sportback battery and powertrains available at a later date.
Both the Q4e-tron and Q4 Sportback can recharge from 5-80% in 38 minutes3 at a public rapid charging station. A domestic wall box charger, will comfortably allow you to replenish the battery overnight3.
The interior length matches that of a full size SUV, with a number of storage compartments and generous room in the rear. The boot has a capacity of 520 litres and the Sportback comes with an electric tailgate as standard.
An airy spacious interior is complimented by standard equipment including a new generation steering wheel with touch sensitive operation, Audi virtual cockpit and a 10.1 inch MMI Navigation Plus touch display. A first for Audi, a new augmented reality head-up display to project driver information onto the real world outside and makes it easier to see things when visibility is poor. With most controls contained within the touch screen and steering wheel the dash has a futuristic, clutter- free look.
Driver Assist Systems
A wide range of standard assist systems are offered including predictive efficiency assist, land departure warning and collision avoidance assist. Systems such as adaptive cruise control and surround view cameras are available in several packages.
The Audi Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron are built on a net zero basis. The factory uses eco-electricity and the cell suppliers only use green electricity in their production processes. All emissions that cannot be avoided are offset by climate protection measures certified by the non-profit organisations ‘The Gold Standard’ and ‘Verified Carbon Standard’. In the interior recycled materials are used in the insulation and damping materials and many of the visible surfaces contain recycled materials, including the floor covering and parts of the luggage compartment.
2 Range dependant on trim and optional equipment
3 Charging times will depend on various factors, including temperature, state of the battery, state of and capabilities of the charging unit and power supply. Actual charging time will vary depending on the level of charge in the battery, as well as environmental conditions. Charging times will also be affected by the charging curve for example once charging passes 80%, charging will slow to protect the battery’s longevity.
